Can’t write now

Can’t write now.

Can’t right now.

Can’t.

Write.

Now. Later.

I wrote then.

Wrote well.

Stream dried up.

Well caved in.

Words dead on

winter killed branches.

Nothing.

More delete.

More drafts.

More of nothing.

Nothing much.

Tears fall.

Words don’t.

Muse, my dear,

what did I do

so wrong?

Come home again.

Love,

Me

Ella, I almost didn’t! It did not feel very poetic although it came from the heart as a cry to be poetic again! πŸ™‚ Thanks for coming by.

Oh yes.. this I know too well. The nemesis of any writer is the awful moment when you run out of words.

Kerry, you said it so well! What a horror it is to find the well of words coming up dry!

This is the anthem! Set it to music…we’ll all do it as a singalong in the pub! Ha.

Looks to me like the muse is there – but perhaps not saying what you had hoped it would. πŸ™‚ I’m glad you’re writing regardless.
BTW, I LOVE this poem, seriously.
