Reflections of spring

Early spring melt reveals

spiderwebs from the floating in fall

sunshine encourages buds

warm air dances

and chilly rain falls

it is still early spring.

Spring sunshine shows

how the earth tilts

sun further away now

but the rays more direct.

Raindrops run down backs

shivers run down necks

Better than snow

they say.

It is true.

Early spring aches of hope.

Shivers in the sunshine.

Dances in the rain.

Bursts forth with birds and song.

This is really an excellent appraisal of the season, which is written and written about, seldom really captured. Your use of snow to rain, the photo you wrap it all around, the whole thing, just works. Enjoyed it Shan.

“Early spring aches of hope.” It is so true, isn’t it? Every spring hope IS reborn….and people gain once more that hope that remained dormant all winter. Beautiful thoughts expressed here.

I love it and I miss pussy willows! I saw them in a store in the florist section…they are expensive. I grew up with a bush close by…I miss seeing and picking them! I love your words…

Ahhh… our spring seems to have forgotten what it’s supposed to do and we took a step back into winter today. Had a cold, cold blizzard here all day today, blowing snow and … shoveling! Yuck!
This is such a lovely, gentle reminder of what is soon to arrive and better yet… stay here soon (we hope) LOL
    A lovely read Shanyn
