My World

My world is filled with words,

With images, with sounds.

My world lives with laughter,

Is watered with tears – sorrow and joy.

My world is scarred and beautiful.

My world is my own, and yours.

For With Real Toads, a nice challenge from Mama Zen to write about our world in 35 words.

Canvas is my She Art project, look it up it is amazing!

The most important part of one’s world is that it is one’s own but does bear similarity to other people’s too.

That is very true Kerry – none of our worlds live in total isolation from anyone else’s, and that keeps us human I think.

You did it, girl. Your world is very real and relateable.

My favorite line: “My world is scarred and beautiful.”
And this world seems to have everything including words to share!

You’ve packed a lot into those few words~truly a complex person.

I did, didn’t it? And I confess I am quite complex, but I try not to be complicated 🙂

Your last two lines bring me to tears…you have something really special here, Shanyn…did you create the art? I love it!

    THE TURN

Watered with tears and exploding in laughter:
that is my mind, like a flower hereafter –
flower which has no importance, no sway.
I am a poet. To give up I may.

I am a fruit tree, no corn, no herb, though.
    I am responsible. Liable. So
nature or culture will not be my drafter,
watered in tears and exploding in laughter.

Your world sound so familiar…mine lately has been flooded with tears, but I am beginning to come out of the rain. Beautiful poem.

Thanks Susie, I loved your world too! 🙂 Tears seem to water the flowers of our soul well so the sunshine can make things grow. Hugs you!
