Bird watching from
this side of the
window is
for the
birds.
Little cat, what do you see?
Birds you don’t catch?
They don’t tempt you
but they do intrigue.
Birdwatcher more than
huntress. Little Po.
I am hosting at dVerse, and for the past two days we have been playing with macro photography, and with micropoetry. I had a hard time choosing from my photos and finding inspiration. Then Po decided to sit next to my computer and bird watch. The light was perfect and she was so still. So here you have a macro of our cat, Po, and micro about her.

I have never thought of it that way…and when they kill for fun rather than food I can see where they are murderous. I think she is being curious, and engaging in her natural instinct to track prey. Even if she never hunts more than toys and dog tails!

ha. my cat is the same…he is more stealth than teeth though…he sneaks up on the deer…and then walks out among them…lol….very cool shanyn…and nice job on the prompt…

She for sure is, and she has such long whiskers! I think they got longer after her ears froze, maybe giving her some extra sensory help. 🙂 She is ever curious.

Mostly because, as my husband would call it, I was ‘bush hiding’ (me staying behind the stage so you all could shine!)
I like to do that sometimes, see how everyone approaches the prompt before I jump in. That way, in my mind, my pub tending is about you all and not my poetry. If that makes sense.

I had a cat who looked like this once. Her name was Ramanda or RCputtytat. She was extraordinary in many ways. My children wrote many tales about her and her offspring. I love your contemplation here. Very satisfying.
